Dangerous Goods Europe

Date

In the past few weeks, the European team have been working with several clients struggling to navigate the shipments of products containing Lithium-Ion Batteries across the EU.

The struggle for most is understanding which classification their products fall under and what legislation needs to be implemented.

In short, the recent development of products that carrier Lithium Ion as their principal energy source has risen so rapidly that the EU has struggled to agree on the right procedures or policies, leaving carriers confused and warehouses nervous.

While we have found the pathway to helping these clients I suggest that if you are looking to transport DG in Europe that you read through the current requirements or contact SCS Europe for more advice.
